Life to Max Pose of the Week: Amber is Waiting for Greenies!
September 23rd, 2009 by RobinAmber has a ritual. Every night before she gets her regular food, she sits by the kitchen cabinet and waits for her Greenie. If you do not give it to her quickly enough, she will “show” you by continuing to nudge the front of the cabinet door with her nose. Alas! Last night, we discovered we were out of Greenies. OH, THE HORROR! No matter how much she nudged the door, the Greenies just did NOT appear. I took this picture because she was looking quite annoyed and I finally had to make a special trip to the store just to get her to stop nudging the door. Ah, ther persistance of Airedales and how well they train us!
Just look at that face! She’s not going to give up…hahahaha
Hello Amber, Krissy, and your mama Terry (and a BIG *wink* to handsome Max),
My name is Miss Sunshade aka the SuperDALE! I just spent the last hour and a half reading your blog archives about you guys and your handsome Angel brother Max. After seeing you guys and reading about you, I just HAD to say a big Aire-HIIIII to you!!!!
Max was such a handsome Aire-boy, I love handsome Aire-boyz! On top of all that personality, he’s got that special coat (dark ears, super fluffy, cream coloured) like MINE!!! Both me and my mum are so in love with his picture and personality that we will be getting his boooook!
And Amber, regarding your persistence, I think that’s just normal Airedale or mum likes to say “female” Airedale behaviour. I do the same *after* I’ve had dinner that I go stand in front of my treat drawer and DEMAND with either my big paw on the drawer, or grumble/growl/bark/yodel. My mum also said that they way you were sitting and looking in many of your pictures looks a lot like me, do you think we could be related???
I am 10, and I live with my 3 year old nephew (he is very annoying and STINKY). We are both from Loc Aire Kennel in Port Angeles, WA.
ps. my nephew STINKY (what I call him) aka Jaffa (what mum calls him) wants to tell your sissy Krissy that he thinks she’s very cute especially with her ears!!
Nice meeting you all, and great job to your mom on such a lovely book for our magnificent breed!

What a BEAU-TI-FUL girl you are! I am so happy to meet you especially since you have the special black ears like Max. I’ve never seen another Airedale with his kind of coloring–though Max’s coat was more gray (grizzle). We thought he was the most handsome Aire-boy and there nobody as happy as Max!
How funny to find out that you come from the Loc Aire Kennel is Port Angeles because that’s where Amber is from. Both Max and Krissy were from rescue so we don’t know their lines.
